PRINCE’S TRUST PROGRAMMES

Team Programme – 12 weeks Personal Development incorporating a week’s residential, 2 week work placement, fundraising, community focussed projects and a final presentation to showcase achievements and qualifications gained.

Community Cash Awards – 14/25 yrs – up to £5,000 available to groups of young people to provide a project within their community.

Development Award – 14/25 yrs – between £50 & £500 – although average award is approx. £150 – to help move them on in the development. It could buy clothes for interviews, tools & equipment, books, etc.

Get Started – 16/25 yrs -specifically funded to offer a ‘kick-start’ to young people who have not been engaged in education, training or employment for a while. One week only – usually sponsored by a football club, although we have completed a Get Started with Music programme which was very successful!

Get Into – 16/25 yrs – specifically funded 2 week programme to re-engage young people with a focus on a specific industry, i.e. Construction or Retail.

Enterprise Programme (formerly known as the Business Programme) offers loans (@3% interest) to young people 18/30 years old. They are supported for 3 years by a Mentorto help them with advice & guidance.

Xl Programme started in 2003 after a successful pilot. Delivered in school’s, it’s aimed at 15 & 16 year olds (last 2 years of curriculum education), who are at risk of exclusion or under-achievement. Only 3 hours each week, which keeps the young person engaged in school.
