Who we are?

The EBP is an organisation in Dudley that helps develop, train and educate young people by linking them with employers through work experience and enterprise events. We work closely with young people, schools, employers and local businesses with the aim of preparing young people for the world of work and to help develop skills that employers want.

What do we do?

Work Experience

The EBP is probably best known for supporting work experience programmes.  Work experience is important in helping young people make the step from school to work and gives them an insight into what skills employers want. It can also help decide on a chosen career path. The EBP offer:

  • Management systems and Health, Safety & Welfare support for work experience placements
  • Safeguarding systems for placements
  • Employer Pre Placement Interviews
  • NEBOSH trained Health & Safety Assessors
  • Work placement advisory service

Some feedback from a recent year 10 student undertaking Work Experience:

“I don’t want to leave my work experience and I think today is the worst day of the week because I am leaving. Anyway overall it has been a good working week I have learned skills I need for the future. It has been a pleasant week and it’s a shame it is over. Thank you for a wonderful useful work experience. This feels like reading the last book of a series and having to say goodbye to the characters after knowing them”

Enterprise Events / Employability Skills

We work with local employers and businesses to bring work related learning to life.  The EBP can design and deliver bespoke packages for Primary and Secondary school students which support the curriculum and enhance learning. These events allow young people get an early insight into work life skills such as confidence, decision making, team working and presentation skills.

Examples of what EBP deliver include:

  • Enterprise Events (full day or half day sessions) such as the Tower Challenge, The Healthy Snack Bar or the Chocolate Challenge
  • Money Skills
  • What’s My Job?
  • What is the Business Sector?

The EBP can work with you to deliver what you need for your young people!
